Our Qualifications

The LPL Financial Advisors at Discovery Financial, LLC believe in providing the most up to date and accurate information as possible.  To do that we are constantly participating in on-going financial education.  Our advisors have also obtained along with their required federal and state licenses, more advanced designations in the financial services profession.

Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) - Obtained through the American College to professionals who have completed an 8 course curriculum focused on financial planning and passed a series of written exams.  The ChFC® is maintained by adhering to an ethical standard set forth by the American College and completing 30 hours of continuing education every two years.

Charter Life Underwriter (CLU®) - Widely recognized as the highest level of studies in the life insurance profession.  Earned through the American College by completing an 8 course curriculum and passing a series of written exams.  Emphasis on life insurance needs for individuals, business owners, professionals, including income replacement, estate planning and wealth transfer. The CLU® is maintained by adhering to an ethical standard set forth by the American College and completing 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years.

Licensed Insurance Couselor- This type of counselor is also known as a life insurance agent. Agents are licensed to sell life insurance in a given state. Agents are commonly referred to as "producers" inside the life insurance industry.

Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC®)- The College for Financial Planning awards this designation to investment practitioners who complete its nine-module CMFC® Professional Education Program jointly sponsored by the College and the Investment Company Institute,pass an examination, commit to a code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education.

Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®)- The CRPS® professional designation is received from the College for Financial Planning. Designees are knowledgeable financial advisors who design, install and maintain retirement plans for the business community.

Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC)- This designation mitigates the impact that a client's need for care, over an extended period of years, is likely to have on the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of the client's family.
