2011 Forest Hills Central Ranger Football Golf Outing David Muilenberg and Discovery Financial, LLC were hole sponsors for FHC's Football Golf Outing in 2011. We were able to help support the football program at Forest Hills Cental. The outing exceeded the goal they needed for the upcoming football season. We hope for a successful year for all the players. 
Adopt-A-Road For the past 7 years, Discovery Financial, LLC has been involved with Adopt-A-Road. Spaulding Ave between Fulton and Cascade is our assigned road to keep clean. Three times a year, the staff goes out and picks up any trash that is on the side of the road. It is our way of giving back to the community and also helping the environment by keeping it clean! Helen DeVos Children's Hospital On Sunday December 5, 2010 David and Angela Muilenberg and family were invited to the Donor's Open House at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in downtown Grand Rapids, MI. This hospital is the only dedicated health care facility for children of all ages in the region. The amazing new hospital is designed to care for children and thier families with the most advanced pediatric treatments and therapies in an enviornment that is playful yet comforting and caring. David & Angela Muilenberg made a donation in the form of a hospital room to the Helen DeVos Children's Hopsital in order for children who are ill, injured or facing a chronic disease may have a home. The Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is a place where skilled physicians, researchers and staff come together to deliver the specialized services most needed by our infants, children and adolescents. The Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is scheduled to open for patients January 2011. 


ICCF Benefit Event 2010 "Beyond Our Blind Side.... An Extraordinary Journey" Sean & Leigh Anne Tuohy October 19, 2010... David and Angela Muilenberg, along with a few clients of Discovery Financial, LLC attended the Annual ICCF (Inner City Christian Federation) Benefit Event at DeVos Place. This year, the speakers were Sean & Leigh Anne Tuohy, the family who the movie, "The Blind Side" was based upon. They have just recently written a book detailing the emotional and heartfelt journey they have been through. Both of the Tuohy's were raised in the south. Angela Muilenberg & Arlene Muilenberg  The 24th Annual Marting J. Edema Golf Outing to benefit the Widowed Person Services in Grand Rapids, MI. The golf outing was held at Thornapple Pointe Golf Course in Cascade Township, MI on July 19, 2011. The outing was hosted by NAIFA- Grand Rapids. Widowed Person Services (WPS) has been in the Grand Rapids Area for over 32 years. They are a non-profit organization dependant on donations from individuals around the community. There are currently 23,000 Widowed people in Kent County. WPS reaches out to more than 130 widowed men and women each month, with information and support from others "who have been there.' www.wpsgr.org Martin J. Edema- Martin was a victim of sudden heart failure at the age of 32 and exemplified the professional Life Insurance Agent. Being on the chair for the golf outing, it only seemed right to rename the outing after Martin's passing in order to gain awareness for how important supporting widows is along with the importance of having great finacials in place incase of sudden death like Martin. Over the past 23 years, the Martin J. Edema golf outing has contributed over $310,000 in donations to WPS.
